Course goals
Objectives:
1. To learn the main routes of membrane transport and rearrangement (secretion, exocytosis, endocytosis, autophagy, cytokinesis). In particular by learning:
a) The mechanism underlying these pathways
b) The regulation of these pathways
c) (Eventually) The diseases associated with a defect in these pathways

2. To learn some of the most important cellular and biochemical techniques to investigate certain aspect of the intracellular membrane processes.
a)  Fluorescence microscopy
b)  Genome editing by CRISPR

3. To learn how to critically read a research articles about intracellular membrane transport and rearrangement by:
a) Determining the research goal of the papers
b) Analyzing the approach used by the authors (methodology/techniques)
c) Identify the critical experiments of the papers
d) Gather the take-home message of the papers in a 1 page abstract
e) Propose new research lines/experiments as a follow-up of the papers.
