The objective of the student seminar is to acquaint the participants with both a research style setting as well as elementary presentation techniques.

can perform calculations on problems related to the seminar topic, and present them in English to peers and supervising staff

Depending on the level of participation single students or small groups will be assigned specific subjects which they will work on independently. Subsequently, there will be a presentation. This year's topic will be 'classical and quantum phase transitions' with a special emphasis on presentation techniques.
