The course Introduction to Historical Studies offers an initial introduction to the nature and diversity of historiography. This diversity is highlighted through the exploration of various historiographical traditions, themes and specialisms. These various approaches will be studied in their cultural and political contexts and judged on their merits. As such, students will make a start with a critical reflection on the subject of history.
