Course goals
After completing the course the student:
  1. knows the epidemiological designs that are often used in environmental and occupational epidemiology and less in other applications of (clinical) epidemiology;
  2. is acquainted with new designs for environmental exposure assessment;
  3. knows the impact of measurement error in exposure on effect estimates;
  4. is able to perform specific epidemiological analyses.

Course description
The objective of the course is to provide the student with insight in the principles and important issues of environmental and occupational epidemiology. There will be a limited number of lectures in this course. Papers have been selected that we expect you to read carefully as they will be used in subsequent computer exercises and discussions. Problems can further be discussed with the instructors, preferably plenary. You are expect to be present at all scheduled plenary sessions
