The interdisciplinary module of science honours academy involves all the science honours students working together on projects and activities in interdisciplinary groups. The module programme consists of several activities offered in a modular format for which the students receive 7.5 ECTS in total. The aim is to acquaint the science honours students with the three levels of interdisciplinarity: general practices, education and research. This is achieved by a core set of compulsory activities including organisation and participation in symposia on interdisciplinary research topics, skills workshops, a trip to internationally renown universities or laboratories, and interdisciplinary group projects on on topics ranging from great societal challenges (food, energy, health), development, evolution and complex systems in the context of UU focus areas. The language of communication in the interdisciplinary component is English. |
