Inhoud
This course is the national core RMA seminar of the Netherlands' Research School of Genderstudies (NOG) to present current research undertaken in the research school and to have interactive workshops and/or lecture seminars with the students and members of NOG. Depending on the chosen course format (acc. to availabilities of lecturers), this course can have two formats in the way it works: 1. it functions as a weekly lecture seminar in which the national researchers of NOG discuss with the students their state of the arts research within the field. 2. it will be organised with day-long workshops (3x in the block) that follow thematic streams such as e.g. 'sexualities today', 'homonationalism', 'posthumanist interventions', 'transitional justice', 'the affective turn', or 'beyond the gender binary'. The course works always in close cooperation with all partner programs present in NOG in order to connect the work and research done in Gender Studies in NL with the curriculum of the Research MA at UU.  This course is also open and welcomes all national members of NOG to participate, and interested outside students from other research schools to find out about NOG's research.

Career orientation:
The course offers the possibility to network within the national research context of the Gender Studies Research School. The course also invites non-academic guest lecturers and therefore provides students with insights and networks for the academic and non-academic job market.
