- Students will gain a general understanding of key methods in Renaissance Studies;
- Students will familiarise themselves with the available tools and reference works in the field of renaissance studies, prior to starting research exercises in the various research seminars on the offer in the RMA Renaissance Studies.

An introduction to the reference works (including bibliographies) in medieval studies, allowing students to some extent to also know what is available outside their own discipline. Through a series of exercises, the advantages and disadvantages of electronic and printed works will become clear.
