Inhoud
In this tutorial, we will read the manuscript of Jason Brennan and Bas van der Vossen’s highly anticipated book about global justice (In Defense of Openness. Global Justice as Global Freedom, forthcoming from Oxford University Press 2018). Brennan and van der Vessel argue that what most contemporary philosophers think about global justice and human rights is completely false, and in straight-up contradiction to what the evidence suggests will actually work to help the global poor. They argue that radically open borders are the best response to global injustice, and the only response that properly acknowledges the human right to free movement.

Students in the Master Applied Ethics who are interested in enrolling in this tutorial should contact  the lecturer of this tutorial by e-mail in the enrollment period (30 October – 26 November). Part-time students will take priority in this registration.
