The general objective of the internship is to 'learn by doing' through engaging with professional practice in the field of CS&HR. Sub goals include: to set-up and apply a strategy to extract and gather data on a specific research theme; to articulate your position vis-à-vis your work environment; to critically assess and reflect upon your work environment by analyzing the assumptions about conflict (e.g. conflict causes, dynamics, prevention, or resolution) that underlie the activities/ policies of the workplace and relate this analysis to the theoretical discussions as reviewed in the taught courses of the MA programme and/or more broadly the literature on Conflict Studies and Human Rights; to articulate in writing what you learned from doing this internship that contributes to your skills and knowledge ‘mastery’ related to this Master’s in Conflict Studies & Human Rights.
