During 20 lectures the following topics are presented and discussed: CNS, PNS, senses, hormonal regulation/endocrinology, respiration, circulation, kidneys, digestion, energy balance, growth control, reproduction and development. Students are encouraged to read the relevant chapters from the book before class. During class students are stimulated to ask questions.
Sometimes class hours are used to work on assignments, but assignments are also part of the homework. One of the assignments is to answer questions from so-called mock-exams and present the answers in class.
Four to six students collectively write a paper and give a 15-min oral presentation on a chosen topic. The paper is presented in the discussion/opinion format practiced in modern scientific review journals. It describes and analyzes the state of knowledge on a particular topic.
