Course goals
The goal of this course is to get acquainted with some of the most frequently used models of computation in AI. Models include (but are not restricted to): Turing Machines, Register Machines, µ-recursive functions, Herbrand-Gödel functions, Markov-systems, Quantum Computing, Cellular Automata, Lambda-calculus, Neural Networks, Fractran etc. The models are studied by relating them.
