To give students an overview and understanding of: (1) the most important methods used in reconstructing the climate of the Quaternary, (2) climate changes that occurred during the Quaternary, (3) the driving forcers-both natural and anthropogenic- of these changes and (4) the mechanisms and internal controls of Quaternary climate.
